As a pioneer, Vietnam Post hired a charter flight of Vietnam Airlines on 03 April 2020. VNPost Express became the first enterprise in the field of express delivery in Vietnam to use charters for delivering goods, mail items etc. between the North and South of the country during the social distancing time.
The cooperation with private airlines and carriers to build new routes and supply chains for mail transportation during this time was also recommend by UPU and IATA.  This is also the trend of many members in the UPU to enhance the quality of express delivery services with higher requirements of quality and time. On the website of UPU, Vietnam Post and VNPost Express are praised to be creative and flexible in applying this solution which is a typical example for other members of UPU.
At first, the charter flights were used to transport passengers. However, since 15 April 2020, Vietnam Airlines have removed all passenger seats. With the flexible innovation, loading measures of goods according to criteria of maximum operation of the productivity and safety of EMS postal items, nearly 400 tons of EMS postal items will be transported till the end of April 2020 by charter flights. 
Besides hiring charter flights, VNPost Express has also increased the frequency of other vehicles such as postal vehicles or trains, ensuring the stable transportation for all routes.
