Vietnam Post and Australian Embassy to promote trade cooperation

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen highly appreciated Austrade's role in connecting Vietnam Post with Australian Post and other Australian enterprises. Vietnam Post proposed to push up exchanged volume of goods between two countries through the postal networks of Vietnam Post and Australian Post, developing e-commerce, logistics and export - import goods services between two sides, especially agricultural products to support farmers in rural areas, research and sell Australian branded products at the retail post offices and Postmart e-marketplace of Vietnam Post… Additionally, Mr. Nguyen also suggested that Austrade introduce Australian enterprises in the field of Fintech, Information Technology solutions for learning experience.

Conclusion at the meeting, the two sides highly appreciated the potential cooperation between Vietnam Post and Australian Post as well as Australian enterprises. Mr. Shannon Leahy emphasized that Vietnam's signing of Free Trade Agreements and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will pave the way for further cooperation and trade promotion activities between the two countries. The two sides have come into agreement for discussions in detail at next meetings.
