In 2018: several regimes for labour shall be improved

President & CEO Pham Anh Tuan and President of the Trade Union of Vietnam Post Ngo Van Thuc signed the Collective Labour Agreement
Accordingly, Vietnam Post shall increase paying rates for some social regimes, policies for employees. Particularly, meals allowance for mid-shift meals calculated by day in a month for one employee who gains full working days shall be increased from VND 500,000/month to not less than VND 650,000/month. Cost for periodical health examination shall also be increased from VND 200,000/person to not less than VND 500,000/person/year. Such rates shall be applied for all employees, including contracted labour.
Especially, the convalescent policy for employees shall also obtain many changes. After a period of leaving for sickness, maternity, occupational accident, occupational disease, if labour’s health is still in bad condition, he/she shall be entitled to have 05 – 10 days off per year for rehabilitation. Employees who are preparing for retirement within 01 year shall be entitled to have a maximum of 07 days off for convalescence and rehabilitation before the date of retirement with the rate of VND 300,000/person/day for nursing at gathering agency and VND 100,000/person/day for nursing at home.
Furthermore, rights on life insurance, allowance for child kindergarten (for over 04 months to under 06 years old child) for female labour, annual vacation… shall also be changed positively towards more benefits for employees.
